AHHhhh, SADDLE BAGS...unless you own one, you wouldn't know...Saddle bag image

...they are the cowboy's special possession.  Matt asked for and got new saddle bags for the latest Christmas.  Popi tooled MP on it.  Nobody fools with another cowboy's hat or his saddle bag.  When you ride for a full day or more, the saddle bag becomes your personal, special space.  It's like a garage in the suburbs.  Doesn't hold as much, so there's no room for junk.  But, what's in it is special for that particular trail ride.  Like the list below, we haul books, CD's, snacks, food...things that will sustain us on the trail.    Below we repeat some of the selections from other sections.  Just wanted to be sure you got as much out of the trip as possible.

BOOKS, MUSIC, AND MOVIES

You'd be surprised how much a good leather saddle bag can hold.  Sometimes you just unpack it and sit around the campfire when the cattle are bedded down.

BLOGS AND SITES
In case you skipped "The Herd," the saddle bag hold all sorts of miscellaneous stuff. Like-minded blogs and Web sites.  This is a dynamic list.  Your suggestions very welcome, ponda.

JOIN UP
When we’re riding down the trail on Toffee and Highway 50  we’re always glad for riders to join up, saddlemate style. Makes the conversations deeper, more lively.  It's like membership, but in the loos cowboy way..

MY STORY
YOUR story, really.  Share it with us.  Please.  We need it.  Gotta join up first.  It's where you tell us how generations in your family--father, grandfather, ancient hero--on your tree touched you life—good or bad.

DISCUSSION
Just in case you passed the fence post without seeing the note, this is also a saddle bag item to be sure you get and offer the best thoughts from other cowpokes, even a few city boys.

EMAIL
We explain in FENCE POST how much we are looking forward to hearing from you.  Discussion is more tidy.  But, if you want to make private connection to Matt or Gary, you can click here and go:  This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it
