PRAYER

Yes, there will be prayer.   Something was showing up when Gary was doing interviews for the book.  It showed up again even more dramatically as he engaged the thousands of grandparents on Grandparents.com.    There is a lot of pain out there as grandparents eagerly see a role in their grandchildren's lives.  Too far away.  Too expensive.  In-law barriers.  Step-children means there are step-grandparents, too, often leaving blood (and heart) grandparents out of the loop.  Pain.

Then the dads and sons.  With the sons now fathers, hurts surface.  Relationships strain. The young ones watch and wonder.  The seasons of life sometimes come smashing in to one another.  At the point of considering the legacy that they are creating, fathers and sons and their sons and daughters begin to recognize legacies don't "just happen," not the good ones.

So, Matt and Gary and a team of fathers who recognize the issues and have lived through them are ready to pray for each dad or grand dad who faces the challenge of generational relationships.
